Carla Louro's journey to become an award-winning chocolatier was not typical.  After graduating in International Relations at the University of London, she pursued a successful career in finance in London.  Following the unfortunate events of 2008, she knew it was time to come home to Portugal and start a new venture under the umbrella of the Dom José restaurant.

 

Her family encouraged her to hone her innate talents by training with the master William Curley.  It didn't take long for her brother to recognize her gifts and push her to share her chocolate creations with the world.  She quickly got to work and started winning awards for her unique and exceptional flavors.  It was not long before she become a nationally renowned chocolatier.  Diiscovering her niché, Carla brings a new element to the exquisite tastes of the Louro family and the Dom José brand.
